I was having a laugh at myself the other day because I saw an ad for those little finger chopsticks – you know, those plastic fake chopsticks you can use to eat finger food without touching it. The ad was marketing them as a tool for hardcore gamers, and I was laughing because… I use these. Not those exactly, but some pretty similar to them. And I do use them for gaming, but also for everything else so I don’t get myself hands covered in food and then all over my keyboard. I am sure I look like an idiot using them, but I do it anyway.
So I dunno about hardcore gamers, but I’m a tiny bit embarrassed about this. Or at least I’m a little embarrassed admitting to it. Do hardcore gamers even know this exists? Wouldn’t hardcores just get their chip slime and cheesy crumbs all over their controller and not give a care? Or is there a spectrum of hardcore – the real hardcores are protecting their $300 keyboards and mice setups?
