Well, Amazon told y’all that it was going to be running events all summer to keep you busy in New World while you wait on Aeternum and a roadmap and maybe that next season that you’re currently wishing for, so it won’t be a surprise that an event is exactly what has arrived with today’s patch. As the Summer Medleyfaire ends, it’s time for Hot Spriggan summer. OK, fine, it’s actually called Fury of the Spriggan.
“Empower your weapons, confront Dryads, and save Aeternum from the Fury of the Spriggan,” the studio says. “The Earth has been restless since the Ennead awoke. Empower your weapons, confront Dryads, and save Aeternum from the Fury of the Spriggan. Courageous players can join 20+ Adventurers in open-world encounters from July 24 to August 6 for daily, event-specific rewards. Dryad Shamans have been spotted throughout Brightwood, Ebonscale Reach, Edengrove, Mourningdale, and Brimstone Sands. Construct Flame Braziers to strengthen your weapons before these deadly foes overrun Aeternum.”
Participants naturally pick up mossborne weapons and armor and random rolls for other gear and deco. The patch also includes fixes for life staffs, bows, dodging, and mounts (ahem, Lune wall exploiters).
