It was probably pretty easy to assume that Dune: Awakening was holding back on any major reveals until the next big gaming event, and no event gets much bigger than Gamescom, so it should probably come as no surprise to learn that the survival MMO will be a feature at the convention this year. Still, it is good to know that reveals are coming.
The “Shai-Hulud big” presentation that promises “gameplay flowing like spice” according to Funcom’s marketing suit will bring some world premiere gameplay footage as part of Opening Night Live, gameplay presentations from the on-floor booth set up for the MMO, and the opportunity for attendees to take pictures with a sandworm and get some Fremen-themed schwag.
More details are promised soon™, but at least there are some calendar dates for new gameplay peeks to jot down; that’s August 21st through the 25th in case you forgot.
