Remember earlier this month when Digital Extremes was busily adding thousands of news testers to Soulframe’s “preludes” test phases, with an eye toward a big test update in December? Well, the studio has now postponed that effort, dubbed Prelude 8.
“As the team continues to work away on our next Update, we’ve made the decision to delay Soulframe Preludes 8 until after the holidays in January 2025,” Digital Extremes says.
“Preludes 8 will bring an Update worthy of the hunt complete with an early version of Warsongs, Orengall’s very own Fable, and the first social hub – the hidden Silent Rose Enclave, where the Drippin’ Flagon tavern waits to welcome you.”

Soulframe is Digital Extreme’s upcoming action MMORPG; we’re still expecting open testing at some point in 2025.
