A sudden shake-up has occurred at Cyberpunk 2077 developer CD Projekt Red, as it appears that the game’s creative director, Sebastian StÄ™pieÅ„, has left the studio to join the team at Blizzard.
According to StÄ™pieÅ„’s LinkedIn profile, his new position at Blizzard is creative director for an unnamed project, so there’s really no telling what exactly he’ll be working on. It’s also unclear what this news means for Cyberpunk 2077, if it means anything at all — after all, the game’s far along in the development process, so it could simply be the case that StÄ™pieÅ„’s work is done.
StÄ™pieÅ„’s work with CD Projekt Red spanned from the original Witcher game, on which he worked as a dialogue writer, to The Witcher III, his first game as creative director. And of course, he was, until this month, the creative director for Cyberpunk 2077, which is tentatively slated (or at least expected) to release sometime this year.
