Poor summer, it just can’t get a break, even in a non-pandemic year. Sure, it’s full of vacations and sunny days, but it got the short end of the stick when it came to holidays. That seems true for MMORPGs too, which have struggled to create summer events with some — any — sort of personality.
They do try, bless ’em. Some go with a beach party theme, while others do a generic “boy, sure is hot, ain’t it?” approach. There are picnics, mazes, and oblique references to the sun. Which is also hot.
Let’s not overlook summer events this year! Which MMO event do you think actually does a good job and is a lot of fun during these balmy months?
Every morning, the Massively Overpowered writers team up with mascot Mo to ask MMORPG players pointed questions about the massively multiplayer online roleplaying genre. Grab a mug of your preferred beverage and take a stab at answering the question posed in today’s Daily Grind!
