Book of Travels has had a long and winding path through its early access through its just over two-year journey, so it would stand to reason that players had some questions to ask developer Might & Delight about the tiny multiplayer online title. Some of those questions were answered in a new Q&A video, which runs about 30 minutes long, but we’ll stick to the game-specific answers.
The first question asks what’s different since 2021, which was answered with feature updates like expanded character customization, the new death system, the addition of events and achievements, and revamps to fishing. Of course, more features are in the works such as the combat overhaul, which is now projected to arrive sometime in the spring.
Other nuggets from the Q&A include the “never say never” possibility of mounts and animal companions, although no work is being done on that front; confirmation that work is being done about the real-time day/night cycle; and a “no comment” response when asked if the game is nearly done with early access.
The rest of the questions are generally pretty serene, including a “dad joke” question about adding paperwork, discussion about inspirations in terms of music and game dev, and some questions related to other games from the studio. The full video can be watched below.
