Eterspire begins a revamp of its early game experience with today’s Journey Anew update

We’ve frequently checked in on Eterspire because it’s an indie mobile MMORPG that often puts out some pretty impressive updates, but today’s release is promising to be the game’s largest yet, as it starts the process of revamping its early game experience with the Journey Anew update.

Stonehollow Workshop describes the patch as one that will “fundamentally enhance” the opening beats of the MMORPG, starting with a new main story line focused around the Adventurer’s Guild.

“The new plot will center around the introduction of the Adventurer’s Guild. The player will start as a rookie adventurer who will learn the ropes as they complete quests. They will be guided by an eccentric cast of characters: Katalyn, the fierce warrior; Mako, the deadly shark girl; Arami, the lovely apothecary; and Captain Suller, the muscular action hero.”

In addition to the new opening narrative, players can look forward to 25 new maps that feature better visuals, new secrets, a new quest indicator, and improved performance overall. The patch also promises to improve its quest and dialogue systems, while future patches will continue the revamp for every 20 levels’ worth of content. It’s another feather in an arguably already feather-lined cap for the game; we can expect more details soon.
