September not only heralds the unofficial start of autumn (as well as the unofficial beginning of MMO Halloween as MOP’s Bree declared earlier this week), but it’s also bringing some new content to War Thunder players in the form of the Dance of Dragons update.
As the patch’s name might suggest, this update will feature some new Chinese military hardware for players to check out, specifically the JF-17 fighter jet and the J-10A fighter jet. Both of these new vehicles represent some of the country’s more modern combat craft, with high-end radar and countermeasure capabilities, high maneuverability, and new close range air-to-air missiles in the case of the J-10A.
Chinese aircraft aren’t the only additions coming in the update, as the French navy will see a new tech tree full of coastal boats like the VTB-8, VTB-9, and VTB-11. These smaller ships feature fast movement, light artillery capability, and quick torpedo launchers designed to take on boats that are much larger. More information on this patch is expected soon, but players can take a cinematic peek in the video below right now.
