The end of September will mean the beginning of new things for players to do in Wuthering Waves, as the multiplayer RPG is preparing a new content update launch on September 28th that brings a new area with new quests as well as more characters and weapons.

“The Rover has completed the trials of Mt. Firmament, yet the future remains unknown and the past is concealed beneath the veil of the waves. All clues point to a rumored island hidden in the sea – the Black Shores.”

This new Black Shores region is broken up into two zones: the titular upper level of the Black Shores Archipelago and the lower level of Tethys’ Deep. A new main story quest will take players through these ominous-sounding zones, all while solving portal-based puzzles to traverse to new areas and perhaps helping new aetherfin creatures find their homeland for extra rewards.

While the Black Shores area is the spotlight for the update, there will also be additions like two new characters in the form of The Shorekeeper and Youhu, six new weapons to try for, a new boss fight, and two new echoes. Players who want to learn more ahead of time are invited to either check out the teaser trailer or watch the 40-minute dev stream, both of which await below.
