Throne & Liberty delays its Halloween event update’s deployment over a ‘critical stability issue’

If you were among those eager to get some Halloween fun times going in Throne and Liberty, you’re unfortunately going to have to wait a little bit longer: Amazon Games and NCsoft announced yesterday evening that Halloween is being delayed a bit in order to address a discovered bug.

A “critical stability issue” was discovered by Amazon Games during internal testing and was addressed by the devs at Studio X. This means that downtime for the patch is scheduled at 1:30 a.m. EDT tomorrow, October 25th, as a result. Everyone will be receiving 500 ornate coins as compensation for the delayed release once the patch goes live.

In other T&L news, Amazon heralded its banning of a “substantial” amount of bots earlier this week while promising to continue fighting the problem and encouraging players to send in reports. “Each time you report a bot it helps improve our ability to recognize and detect bot behavior across all of our servers,” the publisher states. “Thanks for helping us uphold the integrity of our games.”
