Albion Online is overhauling dynamic encampments and mists camps already

Albion Online’s first real patch since the launch of its quarterly Horizons update landed today, and as you might expect, it’s primarily a clean-up endeavor. Sandbox Interactive has added a new toggle ability for mounting, nerfed crystal creatures, and rebalanced a journal mission. Perhaps the biggest changes come for dynamic encampments and mists camps.

“Based on feedback, mobs in Encampments no longer have a Fame penalty, resulting in a significant increase in Fame gained per mob,” the devs write. “Fame required to complete the objective has been increased proportionally to match the new values. To mitigate the risk of creating extremely powerful Fame farms, Fame can no longer be gained from mobs after the objective has been completed or if the player is outside the Encampment area.”

Those adjustments also include the removal of tomes of insight from all caches but common caches while also nerfing the value of tomes from said commons; the upside is that “Solo Caches in Open World Dynamic Encampments have had their loot values (excluding Tomes of Insight) substantially increased.”

We also spy a handful of buffs (and a few annoying nerfs too) for multiple weapon lines. Mostly buffs, though!

Horizons seems to have gone over pretty well with the vocal players of the game, but people definitely don’t sound happy about the mist camps nerfs.
