The other day I was cleaning up my World of Warcraft roster by getting rid of several alts that were being too distracting for my main character. Once in a while, I’ll burn bridges like this because I know I need to focus without any side temptations.
But that action got me thinking about all of the various characters that I condemned to the void over the years. There are probably many of them, although I can’t recall any in particular that I deleted and then greatly regretted afterward. Maybe Day One characters I wished that I had retained?
Maybe there’s such a regret in your life that haunts you, day in and day out. Has there ever been an MMO character — or worse, an MMO account — that you completely yeeted and then desperately wished afterward that you hadn’t been so rash?
