Kritika Online’s open beta starts next week

Closed beta? That’s old news for the Kritika Online crowd. Now it’s all about the open beta, which the devs just announced is starting on Thursday, June 29th. Founders who splurged on one of the packs get in a couple of days early on the 27th as a perk for their purchase.

The open beta is important for Kritika, since it will effectively serve as the soft launch for the game (and no, there will be no wipes once the OBT begins). The “official” release is slated for later this summer.

The team posted a wrap-up of the beta in infographic form on the site, revealing that (among other stats) players collectively clocked in over 34 million hours of testing during the closed beta, with 7% of the population making it to level 65. Check it out after the jump!

While I’m not a huge fan of the gender locked classes, it is an interesting play for a while still. It’s like a 3D beat em up, with the styles being completely different based on which you pick to play (combo based is very different than just straight skill based). The controls and everything respond nicely and it’s fun. It’s not a main MMO type of thing but it’s a nice quick relaxing side game to play here and there.

Ah…the summer Temport™ hype train has begun. I wonder how many flies the spider that goes by the name of “no really, we westernized it” catches this time!

They’re not removing the fatigue system. They are making it so you still can go into dungeons when you get 0 Fatigue, but it’s only 10% EXP/Drops. At least last I checked.

Definitely not a game I’d play with as much dedication as the average MMO, but from what I saw in the closed beta, it’s ok in its subgenre. I’ll probably play it from time to time once it’s released/soft launched/open betaed.

“Definitely not a game I’d play”

” I’ll probably play it from time to time”

Nice logic

Way to cut off most of his sentence and quote a small part of it which changes the entire meaning and then make like that’s what he was saying. Troll much?

I mean, you only cut off half of the sentence…
