NCsoft’s games are going free-to-play in Japan

NCsoft games are shedding their subscription requirements — at least in Japan. MMO Culture is reporting that between March and April, NCsoft will be transitioning its Japanese titles to a free-to-play model, leaving Korea as the sole subscription zone left in the company’s territory.

Blade & Soul has already gone F2P in the country, with Lineage 2, Aion, and others following next month.
