In addition to the work that he does for this site, his other daily work, and his position as Jack Black’s stunt double on the road (never proven, but never disproven either), our own Justin Olivetti is raising children! His own children, even. It seems only fair to honor the man and his newborn son just after said son’s birth, so congratulations to Justin, his wife, and their new baby boy. I am just a little bit sad that he decided not to go with any of the various excellent names suggested in a prior edition of this column, however; Longsword +1 is a great name.
Those of us who are not the inimitable Justin will be doing things other than dealing with a newborn, however, and we’ll tell you all about it in this week’s installment of What Are You Playing. If you’d like to let us know what you’ll be playing this weekend, share down in the comments! We find it genuinely interesting.
Brianna Royce (@nbrianna, blog): Guild Wars 2 for me — gotta get more into the expansion and stop getting distracted by… oh hey look over there, my husband is playing Marvel Heroes, and that looks fun. Dammit.
Eliot Lefebvre (@Eliot_Lefebvre, blog): Yeah, the Final Fantasy XIV patch is kind of eating my world at the moment. I’ve got another Void Ark run to get through and several more roulettes, plus roleplaying and so forth. I might find time for a bit of alt-trimming in the wake of this week’s World of Warcraft class bloggery, though.
Jef Reahard (@jefreahard): Space Engineers!
MJ Guthrie (@MJ_Guthrie, blog): There are adorable penguins in ARK: Survival Evolved, and I want an army of them! I will also be running The Secret World‘s Halloween event missions every day in my final attempt to win that awesome flaming motorcycle. Other than that, I will be throwing myself into Space Engineers again; I’m so excited about the planetary changes! I also plan to do a smidgen of farming in ArcheAge and some decorating in EverQuest II.
Thatchefdude: This weekend I will be exclusively playing Fallout 4. Started my Survival Mode playthrough on Tuesday; it’s not as hard as I thought it would be (not Dark Souls difficulty) but certainly a challenge, and its making me spend way more time scavenging and upgrading weapons and armor rather than just going from quest to quest like a normal cakewalk. No regrets here; I’m having a blast with the game. There is really is nothing in gaming like the franchise in my opinion.
Your turn!
