Soon Revival players will have more toys with which to play in their houses, as renovation kits are almost here.
“We spent the week testing renovation kits,” IllFonic promised. “There is still one outstanding issue related to ‘physicalizing’ items in renovation kit rooms, but this is literally the only thing on the table as we push to get them out into your patient and amazingly understanding hands!”
To help tide players over during this busy season, the studio posted more tales from Crowns Rock and hinted at a future discussion concerning “the logistics and mechanics of large group action.”

Lethality Silverlock Darkdrakke AnthonyPassmore There are a couple ways to become a citizen, including bribery and renting a room.
Silverlock Lethality Darkdrakke AnthonyPassmore Correct; you don’t need to own a home (there is an extensive camping system that will afford many of the services/accoutrements of a house). You do have to be a citizen to have a say in the politics of a city, but, I don’t know if a camp can be annexed in, etc. As far as I know :)
Lethality Darkdrakke AnthonyPassmore Correct me if I’m wrong but while you don’t need a home to play you do need a home to be a citizen of a city.
PompousPeasant Fishy no these guys are real developers who have worked on games before. Risky absolutely but these guys are offering something no one else is. So is it worth the risk? Well that’s very much an individual point of view.
PompousPeasant You mean just like Shroud of the Avatar, Star Citizen and all the rest of the new upcoming mmorpgs? At least there isn’t a Kickstarter.
Darkdrakke Lethality AnthonyPassmore No, the game is privately funded. Selling real estate is the business model for the game itself; you will always buy houses for cash.
Lethality AnthonyPassmore Isn’t Charging people for a game while its in development the definition of crowd funding and early access?
ArkJag Silverlock Lethality That ‘may’ be true, but they have said they will add more Cities, which means more real estate for sale.
Silverlock My understanding is that the devs will allow the private sale of real estate in Revival and I believe they are also going to provide a means to do so (and possibly get a cut). Â It’s obviously not something they are concentrating on right now because they have a game to put out. Â I know that backers have already had housing transactions/selling of accounts on Gold servers where prime real estate was snatched up very quickly and there is very little left to by from the Revival Store.
PompousPeasant There’s actually a ton of info on the Website and Forums. Â Gameplay no as it’s still in early development. Â But the dev team has a proven track record. Â It’s still risky because the completion of Revival is dependant upon funding. Â But I’ve been really impressed with the developers interaction and communication as well as what has been released to backer so far.
If this game sees the light of day, I think it will be one of the best MMOs in years.
