The Daily Grind: What would you change about your main character?

One of the drawbacks to investing in a huge chunk of time into a single character in most MMORPGs is finding out down the road that you’re dissatisfied with some aspect of that avatar. Maybe you picked the wrong gender, or you have a hairstyle that became outdated three years back, or you went down the wrong crafting track, or what have you.

Perhaps it isn’t even something that you decided, but simply how your character is. When you spend hundreds of hours with one toon, little things like jumping animations, vocal cues, and even height can get on your nerves.

Sometimes games let us change what we hate while still retaining the rest of your character, as in the case of WildStar’s new race and gender alterations. But more often than not, we either have to put up with those lackluster elements or roll up a new character entirely.

If you could, what would you change about your main character?

Every morning, the Massively Overpowered writers team up with mascot Mo to ask MMORPG players pointed questions about the massively multiplayer online roleplaying genre. Grab a mug of your preferred beverage and take a stab at answering the question posed in today’s Daily Grind!
