Yesterday, World of Warcraft opened up Battle for Azeroth’s first raid, Uldir, but that’s not all that was included in yesterday’s patch. In addition to the raid, the patch also introduced world bosses who spawn throughout Zandalar and Kul Tiras. These fierce foes require a raid group to bring down, but players will be well rewarded for their troubles with ilvl 350 gear. Yesterday also marked the beginning of the first Mythic Keystone and Rated PvP seasons of Battle for Azeroth. The former introduces a new seasonal affix to mythic dungeons, Infested, which appears on level 10+ keystones, while the latter adds two new arenas, Hook Point and The Mugambala, in which players can prove their PvP superiority.
On top of all that, the patch also implemented a number of hotfixes throughout the game. Many of these hotfixes are buffs to Azerite armor abilities, while others fixed certain classes’ abilities (namely the Shaman’s Windlash and the Warlock’s Inner Demons and Nether Portal talents) or made minor adjustments to dungeons, items, and quests. Meanwhile, outside of the game, Blizzard has created new Facebook camera effects that allow players to show their faction pride on social media. And lastly, on the lore front, Blizzard Watch’s latest Know Your Lore feature puts the spotlight on Varok Saurfang and the possibility of his becoming the next Warchief of the Horde, though it seems unlikely that cartoonishly-villanous Sylvanas is going to let anyone usurp her without a fight. But hey, we can hope, right?
