WRUP: The revolution will be available in audio formats edition

THE FINAL DOOT

Folks, we know that people have been upset about the idea that the revolution will not be televised. Thus, we’ve made sure that the revolution will be available in audio formats, including narrated audio revolution, a sixteen-track concept album by five guys who swear they absolutely love Pink Floyd, and spoken-word poetry that prominently features the word “revolution” over and over. That’s enough, right?

If not, please be aware that the revolution will also be available as a coloring book, a stage show, a tie-in comic book explaining the backstories of important characters in the revolution, a dessert topping, and a late-season plot twist in one of those shows that is adapting some nerd property or another but really wants to pretend it isn’t. The Walking Dead? Sure. Let us know what other formats you’d like to experience the revolution in down in the comments of What Are You Playing.
Andrew Ross (@dengarsw): Pokemon Let’s Go Eevee for sure! Since Niantic released Gen 4 without increasing our storage space, I’ve been in a tight situation, so I’ll be using Let’s Go as a kind of PokeValhalla. If enough space is cleared (and if I finish the special cranberry relish I’m making for work), I might actually go outside and play Pokemon Go proper.

Brianna Royce (@nbrianna, blog): OK soooo. Yeah, definitely playing some Star Wars Galaxies Legends. They are revamping the player city system, and I’m excited. I don’t think it’s going far enough, but it’s a step in the right direction. I’ve been itching to add something else to my lineup, but realistically, I should wait for Black Friday and see what sort of options present themselves.

Chris Neal (@wolfyseyes, blog): It’s more time on the treadmill in MapleStory 2 for me this weekend as I’d like to get myself to 60 and try to kit myself up for some of the beefier dungeons and whatnot. There’s also lots of leveling for my Astrologian in Final Fantasy XIV and a lot of levels to earn in Path of Exile. Basically, I’m playing catch-up while also not watching the clock like a good “filthy casual” does.

Eliot Lefebvre (@Eliot_Lefebvre, blog): Since I am in Vegas literally all weekend, my gaming will be limited to Pokemon Go, Granblue Fantasy, and some Pokemon Ultra Moon. Yes, I’m here at a convention about my favorite MMO and I will not actually be playing it at all. No, the irony is not lost upon me.

Justin Olivetti (@Sypster, blog): If I was a poor guessing man, and I am, I would say probably about 70% Lord of the Rings Online, 20% Fallout 76, and 10% Star Wars: The Old Republic will be my gaming ratio. The new progression server is very addictive!

MJ Guthrie (@MJ_Guthrie, blog): With Hi-Rez Expo in full swing, I’ll be checking things out on the show floor. Hopefully the new SMITE arena is there to jump into! I’ll also be doing a little Clockwork DLC for Elder Scrolls Legends every evening to get that daily quest done for my event tickets. My chances of getting much else in is pretty slim.

Your turn!

Still playing Project Ascension. Our PvP guild is starting to do raiding which so far been smooth sailing (cuz all players are highly skilled). I leveled a new toon to 60 in just 2 days just for tauren racial. Building and gearing 2 new specs: stealth hunter with legendary RE for aimed shot and maul focused bear with totems.
Also just made part 1 of series of suggestions for PA devs how to improve talents: http://project-ascension.com/forum/index.php?/topic/10220-inssanitys-guide-to-improve-talents-part-1-druids-hunters-mages

it’s been fallout 76 all the way down with a few stops into star citizen 3.3 live and 3.3.5 ptu here and there.

i’ve started exploring various ways to make credits in star citizen and wanted to check out one such way – mercenary missions involving scanning!

i also stumbled across a kind of remix of songs genre so to say and i wanted to make one myself so this is my entry to w/e is going on there:

Bought the Smite God Pack cuz it was really cheap.

Other than that, nothing much. Still trying to figure out what will be the game i’ll play.

A couple of decades ago, I saw Gil Scott Heron in concert in a cool indoor-outdoor club. Really great performance, starting spoken word solo, with band members coming in one by one, in a very natural progression. Brilliant poet. One of the top shows I’ve ever seen. Too bad it wasn’t recorded.

As for games, Pathfinder:Kingmaker and the retro redone Hellgate London.

Much to my surprise, I’ve just stepped out of the vault in Fallout 76 this evening. I never expected to be in on this one until I read a lot of feedback (from you lot – thanks people!) which not only allayed some of my fears but also made me realise the NPCs were the weakest part of Fallout for me and I wasn’t going to miss them. Quite frankly, it had always seemed odd to me that I always stepped out of a vault to discover civilization was already thriving – I’d always wanted my post-apocalyptic landscape more deserted.

Of course, if it all goes wrong and I end up ganked, dead and with Nubzkiller1337 teabagging my corpse, I’m blaming it all on rafael12104 :)

LOL! Easy, chief. Heh. I can’t be responsible for all gamers. But, I can say you will like the exploration and the things you will find along the way.

Thoroughly enjoyed my time with it last night. FOV was a problem as was having to edit the ini to get superwide aspect ratio, but that’s nothing I haven’t done with every previous Bethesda game.

I found it very atmospheric and I like the new base building flexibility (didn’t get on with the fixed locations in Fallout 4, this feels more like Conan Exiles et al) and I like being able to roam and take my base with me. Enjoyed a few shootouts with my trusty sawn-off hunting rifle, and some cautious exploration of abandoned houses at night by the green glow of my Pipboy. All good stuff.

The funny thing? Haven’t even seen another player yet. They’re on my map alright, but we haven’t crossed each other’s paths at all. I didn’t expect it to be quite that uncrowded but it suits me fine.

Not bad, right? And, yeah, players seem to be doing their own thing which is nice.

Finally met another player! I was asleep on my bed, he was wearing power armour. He stomped into my base, we waved at each other, and then he disappeared into the nearby junk yard to shoot things. I didn’t even have time to check my hair.

FFXIV to get my last couple of jobs capped before dat sweet phantom thief lookin’ BLU shows up in 4.5. Tetris Effect which might be my game of the year and as close to ‘perfect’ as i think a game can get. downloading Let’s Go Eevee! but i expect something extremely simple, but i’ve been playing these games for 20 years and aint stopping now since all my friends i met over the game in like ’99 still do too. Dead by Daylight -which is apparently one of the most downloaded PS+ games and more popular than destiny 2? didnt expect that- and having a good old time and excited for the teased game awards announcement and finally i got some new minatures primed to paint for Games Workshops new 40k Skirmish game Kill Team. Hopefully ‘Newcrons’ are more sturdy than Necrons were back in 3rd edition when i was a kid.

This weekend I’m doing some stuff in ESO. Exploring the Clockwork city is really fun. Next weekend, I’ll take on Mirkmire. I also actually purchased Ark but I burnt myself out a little bingeing on it during the free weekend, lol.

Also, I tried Shroud of the Avatar and it’s one of those games that I tried hard to like. But I dunno if I can :( I got into a bit when I read that you get everything in the store with in-game gold, but after the starting early my computer just couldn’t run it anymore. It got so frustrating.

I’m having a blast leveling my dwarf guardian main in LoTRO (Ithil), splatting hendrevail with crossbow and axe. Baruk Khazâd, feathermockers!
