Nobody wants a patch to an MMO or multiplayer game to arrive covered in bugs and problems, but that’s just what Conan Exiles players are finding with yesterday’s update to PC, which was supposed to bring fixes to Avatars and a rebalancing to followers, but instead introduced server lists not populating, characters being lost, and crashes for Windows 7 users.
As of this writing, Funcom has released an update that should begin to address the server list population issue as well as improve how fast the server list loads, while the devs are still investigating the lost characters problem; a recent update on the associated thread explains that the team may have found the root of the problem. In the meantime, players are being asked to not proceed with the character creation process. As for Windows 7 users running into crash problems, that thread has a workaround for the time being.
We're aware and currently tracking two issues that have arisen with the last PC update.
