As I write this, I fully acknowledge that this topic won’t be for everyone. Some MMO players are fully content to play a single character at a time, channeling all that focus and time into advancing as far as possible. But then there are those of us who test the limits of the character select screen, who are always and forever rolling up new alts, and who bounce between toons like it’s Saturday morning TV in the ’90s.
So how do you juggle your MMO alts? Right now in LOTRO, I’m working on three characters in parallel. Instead of flitting between all three on a given night, I rotate between them nightly. That gives me a nice bit of zone diversity as well. But I’d like to hear about your methods!
Every morning, the Massively Overpowered writers team up with mascot Mo to ask MMORPG players pointed questions about the massively multiplayer online roleplaying genre. Grab a mug of your preferred beverage and take a stab at answering the question posed in today’s Daily Grind!
