The Daily Grind: What time of year do you end up playing MMOs the most?

Hey, look at that — we’re in July. I didn’t give permission for this to happen, but happen it has, and we should make the best of it. So dust off those neglected MMOs, splurge on a subscription, catch up on expansion progress, and maybe try a new title or two!

Then again, maybe it’s a terrible time of year for you to get invested in gaming. For me, mid-fall always seems like it’s the high point of my gaming interest and involvement during a calendar year. Maybe it’s because we tend to have a lot of releases and patches around then, or perhaps I’m starting to get into winter hibernation mode by cocooning in my techno-cave.

What about you? Is there a season of the year that you seem to play MMOs more than others? Is it because you have more free time during then, because it’s just when the releases happen, or something else entirely?

Every morning, the Massively Overpowered writers team up with mascot Mo to ask MMORPG players pointed questions about the massively multiplayer online roleplaying genre. Grab a mug of your preferred beverage and take a stab at answering the question posed in today’s Daily Grind!
