Job listings suggest Sony’s Horizon MMO aka Project Skyline is actually happening

Maybe? Maybe not.

It was a little over a year ago that we first reported that Sony and NCsoft possibly were teaming up to create an MMORPG set in Sony’s popular Horizon universe. While there were always doubts whether this was a flight of fancy or a legitimate project, the scales seem to be tipping in favor of the latter as evidence has surfaced to show that the MMO is actually in development.

Eurogamer reports that two job listings on NCsoft’s Korean website point to “Project Skyline” — the codename for the Horizon MMO along with “Project H.” The job listings point to the title being developed for PC and mobile in Unreal Engine 5 with allegedly 140 team members working on the project.

This tracks with recent news that Sony and NCsoft are strengthening a “strategic partnership” between the companies.

A Horizon fan also hunted down a possible NCsoft-registered title for the game — Land of Salvation — although this could be for a completely different project.
