In a new developer video, Nightingale studio Inflexion Games refuted the opinion that the studio is scaling down its development of the Victorian survival game. However, it did admit that the next content update’s going to be a while in the making.
“The good news is that our next update is shaping up to be our most significant to date,” a dev said. “The downside is that this is taking up our studio’s full focus so it’ll take a little bit longer to arrive.”
One fun toy coming with the next update is the ability to turn your climbing pitons into a grappling hook for some quick travel across gaps. The better the pitons, the further the distance that you can go. Also coming with the update are interdimensional storage boxes, recipes for all of the starting outfits, optional friendly fire for dueling, and craftible Zephyr anchor points to teleport instantly between two points in a single realm.
Work continues on the offline mode, as Inflexion will soon let you migrate your online characters to the offline version of the game. However, there will not be a way to transfer offline characters to online.
