Monster Hunter Now promised that the autumn season was bringing some new goodies for mobile gamers to swipe at, but now we have more complete details on what to expect for the seasonal update, including a release date of Thursday, September 12th.

Season 3 is marked by the addition of the heavy bowgun ranged weapon, the ability to cook food in order to get buffs that are unique to the mobile game, and the introduction of three more monsters: the dancing crane wyvern Aknosom and two of the series’ angriest bois in the form of Magnamalo and Rajang, all three of which unlock after completing a related seasonal quest.

The update will also bring new skills and equipment like the Hellfire Cloak, more new hunter medals, some updates to make the game easier for new players to get into, and the usual season pass and monster appearance cycling. Until then, the Season 2’s climax event will offer up a surge in specific monsters, materials, zenny, and season tier points from August 27th to September 10th.
