Most of the news coming out of former Blizzard dev Mike Morhaime’s company Dreamhaven has been about its ambitions and an open call for player tester sign-ups for its games – all while not sharing any game details. It looks as if the time of tightened lips is over as Dreamhaven has announced Lynked: Banner of the Spark, its first-ever published game, which is headed to early access on Tuesday, October 22nd.
Readers may recall that Lynked was among the titles unveiled during Gamescom’s Opening Night Live presentation: It’s a colorful co-op action rogue-lite with some town-building elements for up to five players from developer FuzzyBot.
“Set in a world of robots, Lynked gives each player their own town, which they’ll expand by going on missions to collect necessary resources and blueprints—and rescue Unibot allies—in enemy territory. As challenges increase, the player’s town will be the key to getting the upper hand in combat. Players will pair up with their robot friends to craft, upgrade, and build new armaments that will improve survivability on subsequent runs—in addition to providing fun options for personalizing their home.”
According to the game’s Steam page, Lynked is targeting a 2025 release, while its early access build will start with between four to nine chapters of its main campaign, replayable combat missions, 10 different weapons to craft, and some of its more pastoral features such as the aforementioned town running as well as fishing. Early access will cost $25 and may be priced differently on full release, though FuzzyBot isn’t sure of that yet.
