Multiplayer survival sandbox Enshrouded has already had some pretty meaty updates, but developer Keen Games is preparing for one of its biggest yet, as it has taken the wraps off of its major Update 4 patch in a recent developer video.
This next patch will open up a mountainous new region to the north of the game world, which is described as a much more vertical place. This region will naturally introduce new quests, monsters, animals, weapons, armor, and furniture to discover, and players will also get to climb to new heights of power with 10 more levels and additional skill points to use.
Other additions in Update 4 include the first pass at a weather system, NPCs moving around in player bases in order to make things feel more alive, and the ability to keep pets and raise animals on farms. Unfortunately there is no release date for Update 4 beyond soon™, but Keen promises to share more in the coming weeks.
