There are a lot of games that can be played alone or in a group. Some of them really are single-player games that have multiplayer as an option, but others are very deliberately multiplayer games that just have single-player option available for people who want to play offline for whatever reason. This includes a lot of the survival sandbox set, too. And a lot of these games can be fun even in the event that you don’t have friends to play with just because you get to make a big house and chop down trees and so forth.

But statistically, some of those games are going to be played multiplayer more often than not. Maybe you got the game to play with friends, maybe you just found friends you want to play with, maybe lots of things. Whatever the case, what optional multiplayer games do you play most often in multiplayer? Have you tried them solo and found them lacking, or is it just how things have shaken out for you?

Every morning, the Massively Overpowered writers team up with mascot Mo to ask MMORPG players pointed questions about the massively multiplayer online roleplaying genre. Grab a mug of your preferred beverage and take a stab at answering the question posed in today’s Daily Grind!
