It’s winter in our portion of the globe, which means that the cold season is also hitting multiplayer games such as Monster Hunter Now as its upcoming season brings both the cold and the heat – specifically a cold location and some hot new hunts for the mobile AR title on Thursday, December 12th.

The new seasonal update will open up a new tundra habitat that will introduce several additional monsters like Tigrex, Somnacanth, Volvidon, and Lagombi. This new region will also bring back the Wulg and Cortos monsters that were active during spring, while the tundra will remain a permanent fixture to the game once Season 4 wraps up.

In addition to the tundra biome, the update adds the switch axe weapon to the game, lets players design a Palico companion who will gather materials and point out nearby monsters, send an encouraging cheer to friends on their list to grant them a temporary health boost, new skills to learn, and an increase in the number of loadouts.
