It’s not just the end of the year for Throne and Liberty; it’s also the end of the MMO’s launch year here in the west. To mark the occasion, Globalization Design Manager Tico wrote a letter highlighting the “living, breathing world” that was birthed and refined over the past few months.
Many of the major post-launch initiatives were trotted out for approval, including the spear weapon, expanded fishing content, the Dimensional Trial dungeons, a rune progression system, and equipment and skill presets.
Tico did acknowledge some pain points with Throne and Liberty right now, such as an “overwhelming” daily checklist of activities and a pressure to run Dimensional Trials for runes. Both of these are being addressed as well as “work to improve combat, movement, and targeting systems.”
“We’re working diligently and can’t wait to share more information once we feel we’ve made significant improvements in the new year. Our goal is to make improvements that ensure your character’s interaction with the world feels intuitive and fluid. Whether you’re weaving through a complex combat rotation, navigating treacherous terrain, or targeting a specific enemy in the heat of battle, we want it to feel natural,” Tico wrote.
