It looks as if Tencent’s Level Infinite is going to be passing the Tower of Fantasy football back to its home company, as the publisher announced that the multiplayer RPG’s global version will revert to Perfect World Games publishing as of Sunday, February 23rd.
A co-announcement from Perfect World promises that this will herald “higher standards and greater passion for the long-term operation and updates of Tower of Fantasy,” and a promise that Perfect World-owned developer Hotta Studio will continue to “bring unparalleled adventures, richer content, more innovative gameplay, and a closer connection with the community.” Players can also expect new gift packs, enhanced customer support, and dev participation on the game’s official Discord.
This changing of the guard will require players to transfer their Level Infinite account details to a Perfect World account, which will be handled by a transfer portal that will open today, December 27th.
Meanwhile, the game’s most recent patch has launched new events, new story quests and a related boss, and the upcoming arrival of another new character to the gacha pool.
