Just because you’re entering vehicular combat in a post-apoc wasteland doesn’t mean you can’t hit a sweet handbrake drift mid-fight. That would appear to be the case with Crossout’s recently released Wasteland Drift update, which offers a wide assortment of new goodies for players to clap on to their murder machine of choice, including a piece that actively rewards them for drifting around in battle.
The item in question is the Satori vehicle cabin, which increases weapon damage by as much as 40% the longer a player’s car drifts while the cabin is equipped. This new vehicle piece is at the top end of the update’s new battle pass, which also offers up some new weapons like a magnetic grenade launcher and electric fence-laying pylons, a new engine that can hit reverse at top speed, and new wheels that increase cabin power when enemies are nearby (somehow).
Mercifully, these items appear to all be available in the pass without spending money, but naturally those who do buy premium passes will get extra goodies. Leveling up the pass is primarily done by clearing daily and weekly objectives, and players can earn additional things like a season currency to spend on other parts when they meet pass milestones or level up past the maximum of 75.
In terms of other gameplay updates, players can battle it out on a new map named New Fuji, expect some balance changes for the Devourer weapon, enjoy a couple of new music tracks, and snag themselves a free gift bundle if they login before January 7th.
