As we near October, it stands to reason that more of Halloween will start to invade the MMO space. Shroud of the Avatar looks to be among the first out of the gate with its 70th Release, which brings on some Halloween style goodness in the form of some mostly returning content and a few new items.
For Release 70, players can look forward to the return of Pumpkin Head and a number of recurring items that follow the seasonal theme. The world will also be populated with Nightmares, which appear to be some demonic-looking horses. R70 also reworks Ulfheim, balances the Will-o-Wisp and Phoenix, adds the Taming Frenzy, Solar Flare, and Rainbow Blast Combo skills, and makes some bug fixes and performance improvements as well.
For those who can’t wait until R70’s release this Thursday, September 26th, you can hop over to the game’s test server to get your fill of seasonal goodness in advance. Or to actually test things. You know, like you’re probably supposed to.
