Let’s not beat around the bush, here: We are all loot fanatics. We love getting those choice drops and seeing our bags fill up with that sweet, sweet treasure — so much so that it is almost unthinkable for an MMORPG to deny us access to corpse robbing.
Well, boys and girls, New World is not going to break that trend, rest you well. Amazon Game Studios put up a new post to go over all of the different types of loot found in the game, including consumables (food, potions, weapon coatings, and tinctures) and equipment (weapons, armor, trinkets, bags, and crafting mats).
What’s really interesting here is that it looks as though players are going to make their own choice as to how to gear up for battle based on their preferences. “Each piece of armor that you wear contributes to your overall equip load, which in turn affects your mobility when evading,” the studio explained. “You can mix and match different armors to get the most effective protection for the movement state you want to stay in, the total weight of the armor is what matters, not the individual pieces. There are even Item Perks that affect an armor’s weight!”
