Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen discusses programming in its latest dev roundtable

As the team for Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen said in its own words that it had “backed itself into a corner” with regards to its hard coding, the fact that programming was the topic of October’s Dev Roundtable is likely not a surprise. The roundtable featured lead programmer Kyle Olsen as he discussed all things programming for the MMORPG.

Naturally, cleaning up the game’s code was a topic of conversation in the roundtable with Olsen stating that he’s “deleting a lot more than [he’s] adding,” but there were also a few informational bean drops as well, like work on getting the Enchanter class in the game and word that adding new classes to the game has gotten a lot faster since the game’s recent updates. It’s a generally informative discussion that doesn’t drown in the mire of technical jargon, and it can be listened to below.
