Good news for MMORPG players coming from the preliminary EA quarterly financial results:
“In Q3, STAR WARS™: The Old Republic grew to its highest subscriber level in nearly three years.”
The third fiscal quarter ended December 31st, 2015, after the cinema release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which no doubt encouraged subs.
EA further touted the success of Star Wars Battlefront and Need for Speed in explaining its non-GAAP net revenue of 1.803 billion for the quarter.
