It’s that time of year again: the time when we trek over to Steam with our wallets open to see what kind of damage we can do. Oh, and it’s also Christmas. But mostly the Steam sales thing. Here’s a smattering of the better deals we saw for MMO players this round!
- Guild Wars 2 has gone all out on sales, both on and off Steam; the non-SOTO expansions are 50% to 75% off (ArenaNet is calling it the Elder Dragon Saga).
- Classic Guild Wars is an even better deal at $7.49 for the original trilogy and $4.99 for Eye of the North.
- New World is up to 60% off; we spy the Elysian edition (which includes Rise of the Angry Earth) at $46.
- Lord of the Rings Online has a ton of sales on expansions, housing decor, and currency, plus it’s brought back two of the deluxe coffer packs to blow points on.
- The Elder Scrolls Online put huge bundles of currency on sale, plus various editions up to 70% off on Steam. Necrom is $13.
- Black Desert is one dollar. I mean, how do you not own this yet.
- Zenith is just under $16 right now, just be aware that it still has no non-VR PC version.
- The Cryptic MMOs are rolling out all their sales too: Champions Online has its whole cash shop on sale, of course, while Neverwinter and Star Trek Online have everything from cash shop currency and ships to mounts and bundles on discount.
- Multiplayer-optional darling Baldur’s Gate 3 is 10% for the holiday, asking $54.
- Foxhole is 21 bucks.
- Diablo IV really wants you to buy it. It’s $42 right now.
- Destiny 2’s got a bunch of DLC on sale, some up to 75% off. Lightfall itself is $40.
- Party Animals, beloved by MJ and Chris for streaming, is $14.
- Some of EVE Online’s eleventy billion packs are on sale up to 50% off.
- Temtem is half off.
- Valheim, still in early access after almost two years, is down to $12.
- V Rising is $16.
- ARK Survival Ascended offers a measly 10% off. Aww.
- Elite Dangerous’ base game is $6, while the premium version is under $20.
- Fallout 76 is $8.
- The Division 2 is up to 70% off.
- Melvor Idle (the one based on RuneScape) is $6.
- Gamigo has put all of Trove’s packs on sale for half off.
- Conan Exiles is up to 60% off.
- Vampire Survivors (it has couch co-op now!) is under $4.
- Battlebit Remastered would love to amuse you to the tune of $9.
- Sea of Thieves’ 2023 edition is $20.
- Terraria, one of the heroes of the Unity saga earlier this year, is $5.
- Finally, the Steam Deck itself is on sale, although they can’t get it to you by Christmas at this point.
