If that other studio can make a sci-fantasy urban RPG, then what’s stopping Hotta Studio and Perfect World Entertainment from doing the same thing? Enter Neverness to Everness, a mouthful of an upcoming gacha RPG that invites players into a world of urban sprawl and dangerous anomalies.

Neverness to Everness (NTE) unfolds in a unique world where the ordinary and extraordinary coexist – a city teeming with anomalies and humans alike. As players, you will make a grand entrance into this city, employing your extraordinary Esper abilities to navigate and tackle the unexpected anomalies that await.”

In addition to leading a team of anime waifus into battle against things like possessed trash bins and vending machines (seriously), NTE also promises “vibrant urban life” side activities involving modifying and racing cars in the city’s streets, buying and decorating a house, and managing businesses.

The only thing that’s not immediately clear is whether or not NTE is a single-player experience or multiplayer. Initial gameplay footage seems to suggest the former, but more details are promised in an FAQ, which also confirms the game’s plans to launch on PC, consoles, and mobile devices. For now, players can look at some of that footage below and pre-register for more details.
