Look to the skies and you may see Lord of the Rings Online’s new hobby taking flight! That’s right, today’s Update 41 adds the game’s second-ever hobby, birding, along with the cooperative hard tack event, monster play questing, a “glory seeking” bounty mechanic for PvP, the ability to pay for a fourth profession unlock, and a huge Lore-master rework.
Standing Stone Games posted guides for both the hard tack event and the birding hobby, saying of the latter, “Completing some deeds or leveling up your proficiency will give you rewards, including Birding portrait frames, a Birding-themed outfit in various colors, and more!”
There’s some scheduling to note with this update. The first hard tack event starts August 1st alongside the release of the new legendary servers, followed by the changeover to Season 11 of the legendary reward track on August 16th.
