What was I made for?

Nostalgia is a heckuva drug, and while it’s fun in small doses, it can be painful if you mainline it. So maybe it’s only healthy to look backward once in a while… like today. Right now. In this post.

Every long-running MMO has had its glory period, whether that’s the heights of the launch month, a certain expansion run, or a time when the game hit its stride and was highly regarded by the community. It could be that this is happening for your MMO right now, but chances are that this period sits in the past.

If you could revisit that period, even for just a time traveling “vacation,” would you? Do you miss seeing your title at the top of its form? Would you love to be there on Day One of an exciting launch all over again? Or when a beloved game was still up and running?

Every morning, the Massively Overpowered writers team up with mascot Mo to ask MMORPG players pointed questions about the massively multiplayer online roleplaying genre. Grab a mug of your preferred beverage and take a stab at answering the question posed in today’s Daily Grind!
