Lost Ark readies speed leveling ‘Ignite’ servers as a catch-up mechanic

Lost Ark is about to make it easier than ever to catch up to the rest of the pack when its Arkesia Ignited Update arrives this week on October 9th. That’s because one of the major features of this patch is the rollout of special “Ignite” servers, with one located in every region in the world.

Amazon explained the purpose of these: “To bolster the ranks of players ready to enter Tier 4, a special progression event arrives in the form of Ignite Servers. These accelerated servers will quickly level players up to 1620 and give them the tools to enter the fray, joining veteran players in the campaign against Kazeros.”

These servers won’t be a mere XP boost, either. The studio said that server events will help deck out characters with materials and gear to match their quickly attained higher status. Amazon said that it’s not going to monetize these servers apart from some cosmetic sales, nor will it activate the market and auction house.

“This tailored experience is specially constructed to serve as a bootcamp, which will let players graduate at their own pace,” Amazon said. “While the servers will be active for seven weeks, an active player striving to enter the fray will be able to do so in just a few weeks.”

While up to six characters can be made on one of these servers, only a single character per player will be allowed to transfer over to regular shards at the end.
