Sand Sailor Studio’s survival sandbox ASKA (say that 10 times fast) dropped a juicy patch this week for fans who want to leave!

…Leave the official servers and take up residence on the new custom dedicated servers, that is.

“Players can now set up Dedicated servers allowing more freedom to play with friends and in groups,” the devs say. “Set up the server using the dedicated server app, and then you can find it in the list of joinable multiplayer games as before. But here your progress is persistent.” Players can host their own worlds, seed it with their own ruleset, and even set up a password to keep out hooligans.

There’s more to the patch, however; players can also expect a new text chat feature (it had only voice before), a huge graphical update for everything from terrains to skies, a new system for laying out roads and paths, a rework of archery range and tower jobs, and a bunch of bug fixes.
