Star Trek Online’s creepy Hearts and Minds mission returns this weekend to mark Friday the 13th

Today is Friday the 13th and that’s reason enough for Star Trek Online to try to squick out its players by pulling the Hearts and Minds mission out of mothballs and slapping it wetly on the table over the course of this weekend once again. Eww.

For anyone who hasn’t experienced this mission in years past, Hearts and Minds invites players to a lunar research station in the Donatu system for a single-act mini-mission that “explores the consequences of some unconventional research gone awry.” It’s not a gruesome tale, but it is a creepy bit of horror in the MMORPG to commemorate the day of the month. Plus it hands out a unique reward.

This mission will be available on PC between now and Tuesday, December 17th, for characters that are level 11 and higher. Assuming those characters and their players are ready for the recurring creep show, anyway.
