Corepunk’s servers have been offline for nearly three days as a result of database and infrastructure issues

This week has been a rough one for those who were hoping to play Corepunk, as an attempt by Artificial Core to put out an update that was intended to optimize the game’s servers has turned out to completely cause them to crash instead.

Problems first started cropping up this past Monday when the studio put out the update but noticed that the servers started going offline when too many players connected. Follow-up posts confirmed a delay in bringing the game back online as tests continued to be run, which ended up taking up most of yesterday morning until the servers were once again online later that afternoon.

Unfortunately, servers continued to go dark thanks to an unidentified “infrastructure component” causing the crashes and forcing Artificial Core to try again this morning.

As of 7:30 a.m. EST, the game is still down while the devs attempt to adjust the configuration of how servers interact on a single machine, which is believed to be related to the crashes. Despite the studio feeling confident that it’s “eliminating potential issues and narrowing down the problem areas,” it also points out that it “can’t guarantee with 100% certainty that there won’t be any more crashes.”
