ARK: SotF delayed on PS4 in favor of releasing Survival Evolved first

PlayStation 4 players who have been waiting for this month’s release of ARK: Survival of the Fittest will have to keep on waiting. WildCard has announced that it is pushing back release of the spin-off version of the self-dubbed Multiplayer Online Survival Arena on the PS4 in favor of releasing the base game, Survival Evolved, on that console sooner.

So how long will players be waiting? That is undetermined as of yet; neither Survival Evolved nor Survival of the Fittest has an estimated release date for the PS4. When it does release, however, devs hope to take advantage of some of the unique elements of console gameplay, such as splitscreen and local LAN play. They are also considering introducing bots that can be played against while offline.
