The rumor, the danger, the threat, the horror.

Even if World of Warcraft is back up to 10.1 million subscribers, that’s far short of what its studio brother Overwatch has accomplished. The multiplayer team shooter recently crossed its 20 millionth player barrier, a feat that’s made more impressive when you consider that it did so in less than five months following its May 24th release.

This means that the game’s population has doubled from 10 million, a number that it reached back in June.

The ball could keep rolling with Overwatch considering that it’s running a Halloween Terror event and promotion for the remainder of the month. How large will Overwatch’s population grow before it hits the ceiling? Well, there is about 7.3 billion people on the planet, so there’s the hard limit. Something a little short of that is our guess.
