MikedotFoster kgptzac Yep, unfortunately Mike is right. Twitch is buggy; we’re doing everything we can to work around those embed bugs.

MikedotFoster stiqy Twitch has ignored my requests unfortunately. If you’re not part of a megaconglom or a big-name YouTuber, you’re SOL with them.

stiqy When we rebooted this was one of my first concerns raised. I usually stream at 60 frames-per-second which is absolutely impossible for some people to watch without settings options. We’ve reached out to Twitch but we’re still waiting for a response.

Can you guys become a partner so your streams have quality settings? Massively *just* got quality settings before the site shut down, and now we are back to nothing but full-rez streams again.

Estranged I can’t compare it to previous updates because I’ve only played one match before the stream. What I can say is that it’s very chaotic and terribly optimized. It runs like absolute garbage and it’s not super intuitive in terms of telling what’s important, why it’s important, and what that important thing does.
As a MOBA player with roots in Dota, it also feels extremely simple. In every game I’ve played so far I feel like my team has zerged around fighting. Sometimes we win, sometimes we lose, and I can’t really tell why. It needs a LOT of work to get to the expected Blizzard level of polish, and I would be STUNNED if it were ever taken seriously as a competitive eSport outside of BlizzCon.

kgptzac No. Because Twitch’s code is broken, and even though the embed specifically says autoplay is set to “off,” it does it anyway. There was a while before this where the code was entirely non-functional and had to be manually fixed; when they switched that they turned on the autoplay bug.

Gas Chamber Gerhan TheCrazyCronus Well that happens but rarely, it depends what hero your friend is playing, if he has a hero that excels in besieging bases then sometimes it is actually worth to have one less player on the team fights over at the objectives.  Though as I said this is not very common or effective and yes you usually end up getting yelled because the best way to win are the objectives and that is the main difference between hots and the other mobas.

TheCrazyCronus Gas Chamber Gerhan well that depends on what you mean by objectives, a friend of mine who’s been playing it usually avoids the excess objectives and ploughs lanes down while everyone else goes off to fight over them, winds up getting yelled at by ragers even though he wins the game and has the highest contribution on the team.  So much like league, the secondary objectives are nice but beating down the enemy base is usually more important if you have to go out of your way to obtain them and the enemy team is leaving towers undefended.

Eh. Can we not have video/stream autoplay at loading of this page?

Gas Chamber Gerhan Those Objectives help your team knock down the enemy base – if you don’t do them chances are your team will lose quite fast!
