Shards Online fans, did you see the latest newsletter from Citadel Studios? If not you should go read it. For one thing, you can learn about the latest pre-alpha stress test scheduled for this Saturday, March 28th at 2:00 p.m. EDT.
For another, project lead Derek Brinkmann has penned an update letter that details everything from progress on Celador — the game’s first true map — to animal AI to 20 new harvestable resources.

Almost ready to give them my money.
I played it for a very short time during a pre-alpha Twitch stream I think it was… it gave me a really awesome Ultima Online style vibe, with better graphics, but the same isometric view. It’s got a ton of potential, and I’m really glad their crowd funding has been successful so far.
Supreem_CSÂ Walpurgisnacht I don’t know if you’ve ever played BYOND games but this sounds like that but better. I remember BYOND was very popular back in the day, especially with anime fans. Fans would use the BYOND client to code, icon and map their own games. I think once this game releases and if the development tools are simple enough, it can become very popular. I am looking forward to it!

Walpurgisnacht
Was this the game where you could basically create your own worlds and rulesets and host your own servers? I thought it failed to get funding on Kickstarter.
I had a lot of fun last test protecting the farmer or whatever. Game is shaping up nicely.
Still truckin’ along! Â So proud of these guys, they’ve stuck to their vision, while not being afraid to refine that vision, and know what they want out of the project! Â Can’t wait to get in at Alpha 1!
