Fallen Earth fixes lag issues, works on new content

A short but welcome state of the game post for Fallen Earth yesterday revealed that the developers have been hard at work fixing various issues that were causing instability and lag. The team said that it’s looking good so far and has since moved on to tackling other bug fixes and refining missions to make them less of a grind.

So what’s next for the post-apocalyptic title? The devs have plans for more than just shoring up the current game: “Our first priority for new content is continuing the storylines we started in The Outpost. We’re moving into pre-production on this now and will release more info as it becomes available.”

I’m so glad this game is still around. Played it for about half year on and off after launch, joined a guild, but never got super into it. Loved the setting and feeling of the game. I recall the UI being pretty roughy though. I bet the improvements have been significant enough to warrant another try, but I doubt I could convince any friends to play it…and that makes a difference in my motivation unfortunately.

This game keeps on keeping on because of the loyal fan base like the one Ultima Online has.

And the fact that they only have 4 people working on the game. They told everybody about it a year or so ago. They said they have a guy who does programming. A guy that comes up with ideas and asks if the programmer can do it. A guy that does sound/graphics and then somebody to manage the business.

I wish my chopper in rl would look like the one I drive in FE. :)

I totally forgot about this game, this I´d like to see in a live stream – maybe I should redownload if it´s cool, played it years ago and though it needs some more polishing.

Started playing again about 2 months ago and having fun with it. After doing the hippity hop in about a dozen other games. Was ready to pack it in for awhile and take a game break. Love the lore, the setting and just because it does something a little different.

Ye…the sunsets are awesome.

Westguard powny I just didn’t like how fast respawn was. It was fast as in bad Korean game fast. The rest of the game is pretty awesome, even if its UI is a little clunky, but it was pretty frustrating solo.

Some cool features it has though includes multiple sitting, crouching and lying down positions, and the fact that if you are on your belly, you can still move, and moving prone like this reduces your signature on enemy radar. I thought that was a nice idea, sort of a more practical ‘stealth’ mechanic.

powny Westguard It used to be a little more hardcore when the faction wheel was more dynamic. It used to be if you made friends with a certain faction, then its allies, or like-minded factions would then open up to you, but factions on the other side of the wheel would come to hate you, but in increments, not just a black and white flip of a switch. But then G1 changed that to be more black and white, as I guess it was too confusing to new players.

One of the things I really really really love about this game is crafting queues. Somethings that you make take a long time, others a short time, but the beauty of it is that you can queue up a task, and as long as you have the materials for it (and a portable crafting station in-inventory), it will be crafted… as you do other things, like cap mutants in the head, salvage materials, explore or PVP.

Vexmaiden This game really does have pretty sunsets, they remind me of the sunsets I would see while living in the San Francisco Bay Area, but without all that water. :)

The dual wielding *is* pretty interesting in FE!
